AMBS Student Awards 2024/25
The AMBS Student Awards celebrate the exceptional contributions of our undergraduate students, recognising their efforts to make a positive impact beyond academia.
These awards highlight the incredible ways AMBS students are enhancing the social and cultural wellbeing of our community and society at large. They provide a platform to showcase inspiring initiatives, share best practices, and encourage others to engage in meaningful activities that promote our University values of Knowledge, Wisdom, Humanity as well as focusing on sustainability, inclusion, and innovation.
Our aim is to celebrate the students who are driving impactful change and belonging at AMBS.
Who is it for?
An AMBS undergraduate student who best embodies the core values of The University of Manchester.
What we’re looking for:
- Active commitment to the core values of UoM (Knowledge, Wisdom, Humanity).
- Evidence of ethical behaviour and integrity in their academic, personal, or extracurricular life.
- Demonstration of teamwork, respect, and a commitment to building a positive community.
Who is it for?
An AMBS undergraduate student who best champions social responsibility, particularly in line with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
What we’re looking for:
- Active involvement in University or external sustainability initiatives, volunteering, or impactful community projects.
- Evidence of making a tangible difference in addressing societal or environmental challenges.
Who is it for?
An AMBS undergraduate student who best promotes or supports The University of Manchester’s EDI Policy by fostering inclusivity and diversity within the AMBS community.
What we’re looking for:
- Efforts in working towards the University’s 3 EDI priorities (Inclusive environment and culture, Diversity and equity across our community, Inclusive practice)
- Efforts in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
- Advocacy or leadership in initiatives that address inequality, discrimination, or underrepresentation.
Who is it for?
An AMBS undergraduate student who exemplifies enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation through their work or initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
- Evidence of entrepreneurial spirit, such as starting a business or leading an innovative project.
- Creative solutions to real-world problems, either independently or as part of a team.
How to submit nominations
- Submit your nominations by Friday, 10 January 2025.
- You can submit multiple nominations, both for yourself and for another AMBS UG student.
- Fill out the nomination form.
Prizes and recognition
- Winners will receive a £100 Amazon Gift Card and a certificate acknowledging their achievement.
- Winners will be publicised in AMBS School Comms and UG Newsletters and displayed in the AMBS Cosy Campus Room.
